The PBL model is an appropriate learning model for students to develop their knowledge and be actively involved in learning. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in class VII global warming material at MTsN 2 Jember. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Research data was obtained using an observation sheet instrument to measure critical thinking competence. The research results have been tested using the independent samples t-test statistical test, obtaining a significance value of 0.000 for critical thinking competence, so it was decided that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the PBL model on students' critical thinking competence in global warming material in class VII MTsN 2 Jember.
2024-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL PENDIDIKAN DAN SAINS https://jupisi.untara.ac.id/index.php/jupisi/article/view/61 Creative learning to write reviews of children's reading books 2023-10-19T04:50:43+00:00 Slamet Pamuji pamujislamet25@gmail.com
Education can be prepared carefully because it is a symbol of success in life. In fact, education requires interesting implementation and learning. Teachers are one of the implementers of teaching in schools, as a benchmark for success. With competent teachers and long experience in learning at school, the school will progress. This type of research uses descriptive analytics where researchers not only explain certain phenomena, but researchers participate in analyzing phenomena that occur in accordance with what occurs in the field. Learning resources are not only from textbooks, but can be obtained from books in the library. The use of library books can increase student motivation and improve writing by looking at the results of the sentence descriptions they write on student worksheets. In addition, students will be more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning as well as being able to creatively arrange words to fill in student worksheets.

2024-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL PENDIDIKAN DAN SAINS https://jupisi.untara.ac.id/index.php/jupisi/article/view/44 Can entrepreneurship be taught to young people with autism? A simulation of entrepreneurship for children with autism in Malaysia 2023-09-17T09:47:36+00:00 Yohan Kurniawan yohan@umk.edu.my Ruzaini Ijon ruzaini@umk.edu.my Siti Fathihah Abd Latif fathihah.al@umk.edu.my Ateerah Abdul Razak Mohamed ateerah@gmail.com Fairuz A'dilah Rusdi fairuz@umk.edu.my Nik Ahmad Farhan Nik Azim farhan.na@umk.edu.my
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurocognitive condition that is often seen in young children and impacts a variety of developmental elements, including impairments in social interaction, recurrence of certain behavioural patterns, and issues with verbal and non-verbal communication. These young people frequently struggle with self-management issues and need on the help of their family and communities. The individual is typically taught autonomous chores such as taking care of personal hygiene (bathing, cleaning equipment, etc.) and cleaning their living area by autism treatment centres, particularly in Malaysia. It's critical to acquire life skills, such as the capacity to work, in addition to one's capacity for self-management, to prevent becoming a burden to one's family and society. These other equally significant parts of life, such as entrepreneurial abilities, are not addressed. In order to build entrepreneurial skills and provide job experience for high-functioning autistic children, this project aims to create modules based on cognitive and psychomotor learning. It also conducts entrepreneurial simulations and tests the participants' knowledge of the field. The success of this entrepreneurship programme will be evaluated using observational and focus group discussion (FGD) approaches. The accompanying instructors and student volunteers will get training for trainers to ensure the success of this module. There are four sections to this module: Training for training, business simulation, business implementation, and effectiveness assessment are the first four steps. The expected outcome of this project is to create a module for high-functioning autistic young people that focuses on cognitive and psychomotor-based entrepreneurship abilities. Additionally, it is anticipated that this module will aid in preventing autism sufferers from experiencing long-term poverty, particularly those who belong to lower-income households.
2024-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL PENDIDIKAN DAN SAINS https://jupisi.untara.ac.id/index.php/jupisi/article/view/59 Exposing character content in text-based Indonesian language teaching materials in the 2013 Curriculum 2023-10-17T15:39:45+00:00 Fairul Zabadi fzabadi@yahoo.com
The implementation of text-based language learning in the 2013 Curriculum resulted in changes to teaching materials according to the learning stages. Apart from that, the teaching materials that are prepared will be more complete if they contain character values that become the basis for students' behavior. This research aims to uncover the teaching materials and character values contained in Indonesian language teaching materials. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The research data is in the form of Indonesian language teaching materials and character values sourced from Indonesian as a Vehicle for Knowledge: Class VIII (2014). The results of the research show that Indonesian language teaching materials have been prepared based on text-based learning stages although they need sharpening in building context in Chapters III and V. In addition, 15 character values were found, namely tolerance, caring for the environment, love of the country, nationalism, creativity, discipline , honest, curious, hard working, religious, democratic, communicative, socially caring, independent, responsible. The fifteen character values are spread across each chapter and learning stage.
2024-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL PENDIDIKAN DAN SAINS https://jupisi.untara.ac.id/index.php/jupisi/article/view/62 The influence of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of 8 junior high school students in Tangerang City 2023-10-20T00:57:06+00:00 Kusnandar kusnandareko99@gmail.com
In this article the author discusses the influence of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of 8 junior high school students in Tangerang city. Assertive behavior is the behavior of someone who is able to act according to their own wishes, defend themselves without feeling nervous, express their feelings, exercise their personal rights by saying what they are, without being hindered, and not exceeding other people's boundaries. Assertive behavior can be influenced by several factors, one of which is self-concept. The aim of this research is to understand the influence of self-concept on assertive behavior among students in Jakarta. The respondents of this research involved 132 students in Jakarta. This research uses the Simple Linear Regression Analysis method and finds the influence of self-concept related to assertive behavior. The results show that self-concept has an influence of 31.6%. These results also show that assertive behavior is higher for men than women, but there are no differences in self-concept based on gender.
2024-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL PENDIDIKAN DAN SAINS https://jupisi.untara.ac.id/index.php/jupisi/article/view/58 Implementation of environmentally caring character in green schools 2023-10-06T10:39:00+00:00 Trihandayani Br Ginting gintingtrihandayani@gmail.com
This study aims to explore how the implementation of environmental care character in high schools located in Jakarta.
